What is Autophagy?

Autophagy is a natural cellular process that removes unnecessary or dysfunctional components, in which our cells "eat themselves" and create younger, healthier cells.

The word Autophagy comes from the Greek word autóphagos, which literally means "self-devouring".

It is an important process for cellular and tissue rejuvenation. It's our body's way of "turning back the clock" and creating younger and healthier cells.

During the Autophagy process, dead, diseased, or worn-out cells are disassembled and recycled. The old damaged cells are recycled into new parts for healthy cells.

Without proper intervention, our body's natural process of Autophagy decreases as we grow older, and we're more likely to be impacted by age-related ailments such as neurodegenerative, heart, and metabolic diseases.

A significant amount of scientific research has been done on Autophagy and the role that Polyamines play in this process. Science tells us that Autophagy can be induced by fasting, exercise, a proper-diet, and supplementation.

Keeping our Autophagy levels high plays a very important role in promoting numerous benefits, including cellular support and healthy aging.
